Wills, Trusts, estate planning, Probate

I help families secure their legacies and protect their future and the futures of those they love through proper estate planning involving wills and, when appropriate, living trusts.  I also represent families and estate representatives in probate courts involving contested probate litigation.

Bodily Injury/Wrongful Death

I have litigated cases relating to personal injury, product liability, and wrongful death for both the plaintiff and the defendant.  Regardless of my client's position, whether as the injured party or the alleged wrongdoer, my experience, knowledge, and understanding of cases involving bodily injury or wrongful death enables me to evaluate the matter quickly and aggressively represent the client to achieve the best outcome possible whether that is through a fair and reasonable settlement or by taking the case to trial.

General Litigation

Litigation is my foundation and understanding the complex and strategic issues involved in disputes, whether they relate to claims of personal injury or are business in nature, allows me to represent my clients effectively and efficiently no matter the dispute.

LIABILITY & RISK

All businesses need to minimize their legal liability and risk. I will will assess the structure of your operation, the types of products you sell, who your consumers are, what type of company you have filed under (LLC, Inc, etc.), and so on. From there, I will tailor the right risk plan so you can worry less about liabilities and concentrate on growing your business.

Outside General Counsel

I serve as outside general counsel to several companies where I assist in that particular company's everyday legal needs including negotiating contracts, drafting and reviewing agreements, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, handling litigation and resolving employment controversies.

Transportation

The motor carrier industry is a complex, regulation filled industry whose members are subject to any number of local, state and federal oversights.  Transportation also serves as the foreground for much of the litigation in Texas.  I not only assist my clients with virtually every challenge they might encounter but I also represent them when they are sued and pursue recovery for those injured by a motor carrier, or its driver's, actions.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Ideas, tangible or not, are the most important things to protect in today’s competitive creative market. With so many channels and constantly replenishing feeds to watch out for, tracing the ownership and originality of a design, brand name, or invention needs the laser-focused eye of a trained attorney. I'll handle the search, application, and filing process of trademarks and copyrights and craft legal documents restricting the use and disclosure of your confidential and trade secret information, when necessary.  If your idea has been infringed upon, I will work with you to achieve an effective resolution either through litigation or by negotiating the best possible licensing and settlement agreements.
